The consulting arm of the AERC, was commissioned to undertake mentoring and evaluation services for the NIFVGP. This grants programme formed part of a federal government funding initiative called Partnerships Against Domestic Violence that was administered by the Commonwealth Office of the Status of Women. The service supplied by PMA to four rounds of grant recipients consisted of mentoring, or providing support and assistance to, a total of 74 Indigenous Project Teams situated in over 60 communities around Australia.
