The aim of this project is to define the Native Title Groups, or those Aboriginal peoples or groups having, claiming to have, or potentially having traditional connections, rights or interests in land within the Carpentaria Land Council’s representative body area. The research area is that of the Greater Mount Isa Region and that part of the Gulf Region of the CLC's representative body area that is covered by various native title determination applications. It stretches from Birdsville to Cloncurry and from Camooweal to Normanton.
